About PostPlay

PostPlay is a verified recruiting network for student athletes. We help high school and club athletes build trustworthy player passports, help coaches present elite team boards, and help college programs search recruiting data with proof attached.

Why We Built PostPlay

Roger Berent, PostPlay founder

Roger Berent, Co-founder

Our daughter Allison went through the volleyball recruiting process, and we learned something quickly: if you do not take ownership of it yourself, no one else will. Coaches can help. Club directors can help. Recruiting services can help. But none of them are living your child’s process the way your family is, and none of them always know what is best for your athlete.

We spent a lot of time trying to figure it out — researching schools, reaching out to coaches, tracking conversations, and piecing together advice from different places. Some of the services we tried helped in parts, but overall we found the process too scattered, too generic, and too hard to trust. We kept thinking there had to be a better way.

Then Allison went through the transfer portal, and we had to do it all again under more pressure and in less time. That experience made it even clearer: families need a better system to manage recruiting themselves, with better information, better structure, and better outreach.

Now our son William is starting football recruiting. We did not want to repeat the same chaos. Roger is an architect and systems thinker. Amy kept every moving piece organized through both of Allison’s journeys. PostPlay is the system we wished we had from the beginning: a beautiful player passport, trustworthy school context, coach-backed proof, and a clean path for the right programs to understand the athlete.

Recruiting should be easier to inspect, easier to share, and harder to fake. PostPlay starts with the public artifacts coaches actually use.

How It Works

Athletes create a player passport— a single-page public record for film, academics, measurables, and context. Coaches verify exact fields, so college programs can see what is self-reported and what has proof.

Team boards bring those passports together for a school or club. A busy coach can open the public page, enter Coach Mode, select the right athletes, and share one polished bundle without managing another portal.

Deeper recruiting workspace tools can come later. The core product is the trusted public artifact: a passport, a team board, and a share packet that carry only the proof they can support.

Our Principles

Recruiting should be clear. Families deserve to know what to do, when, and why.

Recruiting should be verified. Stats, metrics, and credentials should show exactly which fields have coach-backed proof.

Recruiting should be fair. The process shouldn’t depend on who you know or how much you can pay a recruiting service.

Proof creates signal. Every verified field should tell a coach who backed it and why it can be trusted.

Athletes own their data. Your passport, your profile, your recruiting story.
